About The Position

As a Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of hardware through trainings, product demonstrations, and the design, debug, test, and quality support of customer products. Qualcomm Hardware Application Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the potential application of company products that meet and exceed customer needs. As an Qualcomm Principal Application Engineer, you are responsible for working in the post-silicon validation team to validate collaterals to customers designing their SoC with our IPs. In this role, you will interact with the customers and support their integration/validation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
  • PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ Years of experience in Post silicon validation.
  • Hands-on experience with bench test equipment like Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, and Vector Network analyzers (VNA).
  • Experience in Functional Testing and ATE debug.
  • Experience working in IP Validation in one of the interfaces like USB, PCIe, Serdes, and UCIe
  • Experience working on automation languages such as Python/Perl/TCL
  • Customer-focused.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to listen to and appreciate ideas and opinions that differ from yours.

  • Experience in leading a team of 3-4 members.

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the IP team to work closely with Post-Silicon Validation teams to qualify Qualcomm IPs.
  • Be involved in the post-silicon validation of our in-house test chips.
  • Drive technical communication to customers from kick-off to silicon bring-up.
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve customers' issues during integration, simulation, implementation and silicon bring-up.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Reporting to the Director of Application Engineer.
