About The Position

The KEB America team is growing—and we’re looking for an Application Engineer who wants more than a traditional engineering role. In this position, you’ll work directly with customers to solve real-world challenges, apply advanced mechanical brakes and clutch technologies, and build your skills in both engineering and technical sales. This is a unique opportunity to see your work in action—from concept through implementation—while developing expertise in working with a wide range of OEMs-original equipment manufacturers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills—you can translate technical concepts into customer-friendly solutions
Interest in customer interaction and technical sales
Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams

Nice To Haves

Experience in automation, motion control, or industrial equipment
Exposure to customer-facing engineering or application engineering

Responsibilities

Partner with OEMs and system integrators to design and apply mechanical clutch and brake solutions in automated systems
Work directly with customers to solve technical challenges and deliver tailored solutions
Size, select, and recommend products that optimize performance and reliability
Support product startups and commissioning by visiting customer sites (up to ~20% travel)
Create technical documentation, specifications, and engineering work orders
Provide ongoing troubleshooting and technical support
Develop sales quotes, presentations, and forecasts to help grow the business
Lead product training sessions and share application expertise internally and externally
