About The Position

The Application Engineer role is part of the rental and services team, providing technical sales support for customers renting products from The Modal Shop, Larson Davis, and PCB Piezotronics. This role involves understanding customer application requirements, recommending suitable rental solutions, and offering technical guidance throughout the rental process.

Requirements

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent specialized training.
  • 6 months to 2 years’ related experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology prior to beginning work, as this position requires access to "controlled technology" and "technical data" as defined by Export Administration Regulations and International Traffic in Arms Regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Sound and Vibration industry knowledge and experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general sales support and phone coverage for customers.
  • Receives training in basic piezoelectric and sensor theory to support The Modal Shop, Larson Davis and PCB Piezotronics product lines.
  • Provides quotations for products and services in accordance with pricing and delivery policy.
  • Assists Application Engineers and Product Managers with follow up on consignment orders and logged quotes.
  • Responds to telephone calls or correspondence from customers and representatives for new contracts or repairs.
  • Assists customers technically and seeks technical assistance when needed to best serve the customer.
  • Assists in the expediting of orders and repairs.
  • Generates RMA forms, documents information from customers.
  • Performs follow up on sales activity.
  • Acts as a liaison between the customer and Product Managers by communicating customer feedback and customer input required for market research.
