About The Position

DN Solutions is expanding its capabilities in automation, digital manufacturing, and turnkey system integration. We are seeking an Automation & Software Engineer to help develop and deploy advanced manufacturing solutions that integrate CNC machine tools, robotics, and software systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across disciplines and taking ownership of complex, real-world engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the machine tool (cutting) industry.
  • Proficiency with FANUC controls (experience with SIEMENS is a strong plus).
  • Strong programming background in both Milling and Turning applications.
  • Proficiency in at least one industry-standard CAD/CAM software.
  • Hands-on capability to set up and run CNC machines (managing tool offsets, work offsets, fixture installation, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of macro programming, including system and macro variables.
  • At least a baseline understanding of PLCs (e.g., utilizing PLCs for alarm troubleshooting and diagnostics).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Linear Pallet Systems (LPS) or machines utilizing Gantry Loaders.
  • Hands-on operational experience with DN Solutions (Doosan) machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Application engineer for automation unit that is installed with DN machines, including both DN and third-party systems (e.g., Linear Pallet Systems, Gantry Loaders).
  • Develop practical, step-by-step training materials and documentation with a heavy focus on "how-to" execution.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for both dealers and end-user customers.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support via phone and email.
  • Proactively author and publish new technical documents when existing reference materials are unavailable.
  • Travel to customer sites as required to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical and automation issues.
  • Communicate with the manufacturing factory to report technical issues and request detailed technical specifications or data when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all job-related events, including technical support logs, field issues, and system improvements.
  • Submit a monthly summary report tracking key metrics (case volume, case status, etc.).
  • Continuously and proactively develop the necessary skills to support emerging technologies.
