Application Engineer - Aero Engine
About The Position
Support aerospace engine component manufacturing through process development, tooling design, CNC programming, and customer collaboration. This role involves utilizing Makino’s advanced milling and grinding platforms, employing 3+2 and simultaneous 5-axis machining techniques. The engineer will develop machining processes and NC programs using Siemens NX, design tooling, fixtures, and dressing rolls, and simulate programs in Vericut before executing them on Makino platforms. Responsibilities also include conducting test cuts, machine demonstrations, providing post-sale support and training at customer sites, and documenting project results and process plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in engineering or 2+ years relevant experience.
- OR 5+ years hands-on machining/CNC experience.
- Aerospace and tight-tolerance machining preferred.
- Multi-axis CNC, Fanuc/Makino controls knowledge.
Responsibilities
