About The Position

The Business Application Manager for Supply and Trading Support leads an embedded IT support team responsible for the applications, tools, and business processes that support SRP's Supply and Trading organization. This position oversees custom application developer and data engineer roles, as well as operational support, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and service reliability, including 24x7 request and incident management. The manager is responsible for aligning application support and data capabilities with business priorities, technology roadmap objectives, customer service expectations, and applicable IT, cybersecurity, information management, and regulatory requirements. This role also evaluates technology operations, products, and services to improve business outcomes and support effective end-user service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 11 years may be considered.
  • Experience leading teams and software application support functions, including employee development, work prioritization, stakeholder service delivery, and project management to assess needs, allocate resources, achieve objectives, and resolve issues.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, ITIL practices, technical functions within a digital environment, and how embedded IT teams support organizational goals.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, organizational, time management, teamwork, and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to deliver technical solutions that address business needs and support technology roadmap strategy, project direction, and IT planning.
  • Ability to evaluate business needs, IT trends, audit requirements, and operational risks to recommend changes to standards, strategy, and support processes.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and organizational partners.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Supply and Trading Applications Team, including daily operations, workload balancing, work direction, hiring, training, performance feedback, employee development, and inclusive team engagement.
  • Leads operational planning for supported applications, including innovation, project planning, demand management, work prioritization, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partners with business stakeholders, ITS staff, and business users to identify priorities, define business and system requirements, establish delivery schedules, resolve issues, and support application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and technology improvements.
  • Coordinates staff responsible for designing, developing, testing, debugging, implementing, and supporting software applications in accordance with specifications, business needs, and customer service expectations.
  • Provides 24x7 request and incident management support based on service level agreement benchmarks, customer service best practices, and application reliability needs.
  • Manages IT service delivery, service level performance, stakeholder and leadership communication, project status reporting, issue escalation, and performance improvement actions.
  • Ensures supported systems comply with regulatory, cybersecurity, procurement, information management, and corporate audit requirements, including audit discovery, response, remediation, and risk mitigation.
  • Develops and maintains Disaster Recovery and Business Process Continuity documentation and works with the Business Area Representative to maintain the Supply, Trading, and Fuels technology roadmap.
