Role Overview: We are seeking a Junior Allegro Technical Consultant (Developer) to support Allegro upgrade and development initiatives in a wholesale trading environment. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a Software Engineering or MIS background and strong hands-on experience in C#/.NET and Microsoft SQL Server who want to build specialization in ETRM platforms. You will work with senior Allegro technical consultants and functional analysts to deliver upgrade remediation, develop enhancements, support testing cycles, and contribute to deployment readiness. The focus of the role is software delivery (build, test, fix, and validate) across Allegro and its integrations—not production operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience
  • Software Engineering or MIS background
  • Strong hands-on experience in C# .NET and Microsoft SQL Server
  • High School Diploma / GED

Responsibilities

  • Support Allegro upgrade activities by assisting with code remediation, configuration impact support, and technical validation under guidance of senior team members.
  • Develop and enhance .NET components (utilities, services, APIs, or integration modules) that support Allegro interfaces and data exchanges.
  • Build and optimize SQL Server queries, views, stored procedures, and scripts to support Allegro data needs, reporting extracts, and reconciliation logic.
  • Participate in technical design and estimation activities by translating user stories/requirements into development tasks and identifying dependencies.
  • Assist with integration development and testing for upstream/downstream systems (market data, ERP/finance, reporting platforms, external exchanges/feeds).
  • Support SIT/UAT by preparing test data, executing test scripts, validating results, analyzing defects, and documenting fixes.
  • Support regression testing and upgrade readiness by helping maintain test cases, validating critical business flows, and confirming non-functional requirements (performance baseline support where applicable).
  • Contribute to release and deployment readiness activities (package validation)
