Application Developer
About The Position
CS Contract Solutions is seeking a Junior Application Developer to join our Information Services team. This role is primarily focused on designing, developing, and supporting internal business applications using modern Microsoft technologies and Azure cloud services. The ideal candidate is an early-career developer who is eager to learn, enjoys solving business problems through technology, and is comfortable working directly with end users when application issues arise. While development is the primary focus of the position, all members of the team share responsibility for reviewing and resolving application-related support tickets to ensure a high level of service across the organization.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of software development experience, including internships, academic projects, or professional experience.
- Exposure to C#/.NET, TypeScript, Angular or React, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience working with a help desk, ticketing system, desktop support, application support, or customer support environment.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure, Git, and modern development practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Azure services, Docker, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience supporting business applications in a professional environment.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Microsoft or related technical certifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and enhance internal business applications and integrations.
- Build and support APIs, backend services, databases, and web applications using approved technologies and development standards.
- Troubleshoot application issues and assist with resolving user-reported support tickets.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Support Azure-based cloud applications, CI/CD processes, and ongoing modernization initiatives.
- Continuously expand technical knowledge and contribute to team and department projects.
