About The Position

The FL State Agency is seeking an experienced Application Developer to join their team. This role involves analyzing and documenting current web applications, developing remediation strategies, and improving applications based on business needs. The developer will work with management, business users, and database administrators to enhance applications and databases. A key part of the role includes analyzing financial data and making recommendations for financial system improvements. The developer will also utilize Azure DevOps for task management and deployments, participate in scrum meetings, and perform knowledge transfer with technical staff.

Requirements

• Experience developing applications in Classic ASP is a must have.
• Experience with ASP.NET
• Experience with JavaScript UI libraries such as Angular and React
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based (Azure) web applications.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with the SQL Server and/or Oracle relational database management system.
• Understanding of how to implement solutions with multiple data sources and across a variety of technologies.
• Bachelor's Degree in a field of study related to technology or finance. Work experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the degree.
• 5+ Years of experience

Responsibilities

• Analyze current web applications and document the specifications.
• Work with management to develop an overall remediation strategy for all impacted web-based applications and databases.
• Analyze existing web applications and work with business users to determine how these applications can be improved based on current business needs and within the constraints of remediation activities.
• Work with database administrators to create database views and stored procedures that will facilitate the remediation of application databases.
• Analyze financial data and make recommendations to improve the data model of financial systems.
• Utilize Azure DevOps to manage work tasks, code assets, and deployments.
• Attend regular scrum and team meetings. Participate in collaborative activities with team members and customers.
• Work on maintenance activities for Application Services.
• Perform knowledge transfer with technical staff of the office of the Comptroller and Application Services.
