About The Position

The Application Developer role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining application features in alignment with business requirements and sprint commitments. The role operates within an established SDLC and Agile delivery model, using Jira for sprint planning and tracking and Bitbucket for source control and code collaboration. The Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain application features based on approved requirements, write clean, maintainable, and secure code aligned with development standards, and participate in the full development lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, and support. They will also participate in Jira-based Agile ceremonies, execute work within sprint commitments and timelines, maintain accurate Jira ticket updates, and escalate delivery risks early. Additionally, the role involves using Bitbucket for version control and pull requests, following branching and commit standards, participating in code reviews, performing appropriate testing and validating changes prior to release, supporting defect remediation, documenting implementation details, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Success will be measured by sprint commitment predictability, code quality and defect rates, Jira accuracy and documentation quality, and collaboration and mentorship effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver well-defined tasks under guidance
