Application Developer

Orion InnovationOklahoma City, OK

About The Position

The Client's Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) is undertaking a comprehensive, multiyear modernization initiative to replace aging legacy systems—including full retirement of the ALICE platform—and transition to a unified, cloud native environment. This effort centers on building MyPAS 3.0, a modern Azure-hosted pension administration system that integrates seamlessly with MyTRS and MyERS. TRS serves a large and diverse membership of over 210,000 employees and retirees across more than 600 school districts, career tech centers, colleges, and universities. The modernization responds to long standing challenges such as fragmented workflows, manual processes, limited scalability, and stability issues in legacy technologies. The initiative introduces a modern stack—Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, a document management and process automation solution (pending platform evaluation and alternatives)—to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations. Orion is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
