About The Position

At IBM, you’ll learn from experienced technology professionals while gaining hands-on experience with modern software development and consulting practices. During your internship, you may have opportunities to collaborate across teams by working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define technical solutions, and contribute to project delivery. You will also design and document solutions by contributing to technical documentation and design discussions to support effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, you will build high-quality software by contributing to the development of scalable, reusable code and participating in code reviews and software quality practices. You will develop modern applications by contributing to cloud-native and full-stack applications using technologies such as databases, operating systems, cloud platforms, and modern UI frameworks, with a focus on user experience, performance, security, and quality. As part of our Oracle practice, you may contribute to enterprise applications and business solutions supporting finance, supply chain, procurement, human resources, and digital transformation. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time Associate opportunities following graduation, based on business needs and individual performance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Interest in software development, application engineering, cloud technologies, Artificial Intelligence, automation, or digital transformation.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, or similar technologies.
• Basic understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, APIs, and problem-solving concepts.
• Exposure to software development, web development, cloud technologies, databases, or technical problem-solving through coursework, academic projects, hackathons, student organizations, research, open-source contributions, personal learning, research, volunteer experiences, IBM SkillsBuild, certifications, or other practical learning opportunities.
• Awareness of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, automation, cybersecurity, and modern software engineering practices.
• Strong foundation, a growth mindset, and a desire to learn and make an impact.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to software development, cloud technologies, web applications, enterprise platforms, or modern application development through coursework, student projects, hackathons, research, open-source contributions, or internship experiences.
• Familiarity with Git, APIs, databases, Agile development, DevOps concepts, cloud platforms, user interface frameworks, or software engineering best practices.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, automation, enterprise application development, consulting, and continuous learning.
