About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Application Deployment Engineer (DevSecOps / CI-CD) provides installation and deployment of customer applications securely across the global enterprise. We utilize a Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) model and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) approach.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience
• Bachelor's in IT or related field
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

• Comp TIA Sec+
• ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-deployment testing, and Deployment Readiness Reviews (DRR) to validate that applications meet all operational and security standards prior to launch.
• Execute deployments of applications using DevSecOps/CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to ensure efficient, consistent, and scalable installations.
• Coordinate deployments with Government change management processes and collaborate with DoS specialists to optimize configuration parameters and minimize operational disruption.
• Implement standardized rollback and recovery procedures to ensure rapid service restoration in the event of deployment failures.
• Maintain comprehensive deployment records, including as-built configurations and SOPs, and provide accurate status reporting on all installation and deployment activities.
