The UF Health Cancer Institute is the 72nd NCI designated cancer center and the only one at a public university in the State of Florida. As a matrix cancer center, we span all of the University of Florida's 16 colleges, pulling together a world-class, multi-disciplinary membership of over 350 faculty and 150 staff to address the challenges of the cancer burden faced by the population we serve as we work together to find a cure. As an Application Database Administrator at the UF Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI), you will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Institute's custom resources and tools to analyze and display the Institute's data, assist in critical analyses, and enhance reporting capabilities, design, and management of data systems for the Institute. In your new role you will be responsible for the following: Selecting and applying appropriate analytical methods to answer questions and test hypotheses as specified by clinical researchers, administrators, and clinicians. Designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting application software for use by Administration and leadership. Identifying and analyzing problems, testing and debugging code, and troubleshooting applications. Drafting technical documentation (designs, specifications, systems processes, etc.). Learning and applying best of breed industry standards of analysis and development methodologies and for data management and quality control. Retains a high level of expertise in data management techniques as well as university business processes through training opportunities and individual research. This role is ideal for entry- or early-career candidates with experience in application development and/or systems analysis with a diverse skillset in data management, systems analysis, and application development.
