About The Position

We are hiring an Application Cybersecurity Engineer. This role is for W2 employment only and requires candidates to be local to Chicago, Peoria, or Dallas. The position has a duration of 13 months.

Requirements

• Application Security (OWASP, CWE/CVE, SANS Top 25)
• API Security & REST APIs
• AWS and/or Azure Cloud Security
• Java & Python Development
• Jenkins, Cucumber & SQL
• DevSecOps & Secure SDLC
• Threat Modeling & Vulnerability Management
• IAM, Risk Analysis & Enterprise Security Architecture
• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of Information Security experience OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of experience

Nice To Haves

• CISSP
• CCSP
• GWAPT / GWEB / CSSLP
• AWS Security Specialty

Responsibilities

• Integrate security into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Partner with development teams to implement Security by Design
• Manage application and cloud security vulnerabilities
• Support DevSecOps initiatives and security automation
• Analyze findings from CodeQL, Rapid7, penetration testing, and bug bounty programs
• Provide secure coding guidance and remediation strategies
• Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure enterprise security compliance
