The architect will define and drive enterprise application architecture strategy across a complex portfolio of systems, teams, and modernization initiatives, balancing long-term architectural direction with practical execution as legacy systems transition to open-source and cloud-native platforms. The role operates across architecture, engineering, security, and delivery. It guides modernization efforts, establishes and enforces architectural governance, and coordinates with vendors, technical teams, stakeholders, and government partners. The position also includes hands-on development, troubleshooting, technical mentoring, documentation, and adoption of AI coding assistants and agentic tooling. The role requires US citizenship, a Secret clearance or higher, 15+ years of relevant hands-on experience, and a cloud-provider Solutions Architect certification. The job description lists medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; paid time off; paid parental leave; life and disability insurance; flexible spending accounts; commuter benefits; and tuition reimbursement.
