About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Architect, also known as a Design Team Lead (DTL), for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution. This role involves translating business requirements into technical infrastructure designs, partnering with clients and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create low-level and high-level design solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture standards. The position is a 12+ month contract opportunity and is located in Jersey City, NJ, Charlotte, NC, or Pennington, NJ.

Requirements

Ability to create End-to-End Infrastructure Solutions
Knowledge of database technologies and interfaces
Understanding of Cloud and Cloud-based technologies
Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP, TCP, DNS, Load-balancers)
Ability to create conceptual infrastructure designs using MS Visio
Customer service focused, with good communications skills, a self-starter, and self-supervised
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead the design (Analyze) phase of a project
Able to articulate proposed solutions to business representatives and technical hosting teams

Nice To Haves

Software Developer experience
Understanding of PMM/DSES processes and required outputs
Oracle Cloud or AWS solution experience

Responsibilities

Work with the client to understand business requirements by reviewing the Business Requirements Document
Translate Business Requirements into Technical Requirements and identify appropriate SMEs for design discussions
Translate Technical Requirements into a Low Level Design (LLD) solution using the ITSM Framework's Service Request (SR) Design Console
Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) using Visio and Adobe in conjunction with LLDs
Ensure solutions adhere to client Reference Architecture standards and frameworks
Document CPU, Memory, Disk, backup, and application requirements for the LLD
Work closely with the Technology Project Manager to communicate status, updates, and escalate issues
Support Technology Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
