About The Position

Reporting to the eChart Ancillary Manager, the Applications Analyst Pharmacist supports the Willow Application Team. Works independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Supports the eChart system and relevant 3rd party applications. Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration. Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis. Identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system. Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations. Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system. Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Prepares activity and other reports as necessary. Provides guidance and mentoring to other team members. Attains and maintains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. This individual should have excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills along with highly effective written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Provides On-Call support for application. Days and hours worked may be variable.

Requirements

  • Post Graduate Pharmacy Degree
  • 3-5 years' Pharmacy experience
  • Current license in the state of Tennessee
  • An understanding of information system technology and database applications
  • Complete education and pass certification in primary EPIC application module(s) within 120 days of completed education and maintaining EPIC certification(s)

Nice To Haves

  • EPIC certification in the module(s) being represented
  • Experience in EMR installations

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Willow Application Team and the eChart system and relevant 3rd party applications.
  • Builds system components, tests, provides implementation support, and maintains assigned system applications.

  • Writes documentation for system processes, installation, and operating procedures.

  • Collaborates with teams and operations in developing business continuity and downtime procedures.
  • Performs integrity checks after scheduled or unplanned downtimes.
  • Anticipates, mitigates, and/or resolves system problems.
  • Solves system issues reported and assigned according to IT Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Mentors junior analysts in problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Evaluates the priority of requests based on patient safety, regulatory requirements, and deadlines.
  • Documents issues and initiates tracking.
  • Reports problems or issues to software vendors or other IT departments and monitors progress.
  • Maintains clear communication with end users and leadership regarding issue status and expected resolution dates.
