About The Position

The Hourly range for this role is $15.00 to $25.00 per hour. To perform accurate diagnoses and repair of consumer appliances in the Service Center. Properly complete all necessary service orders / paperwork associated with the repair. Calculate estimates on all non-warranty repairs. Research product, part information, and determine warranty status.

Requirements

Knowledge of most common consumer electronics and/or appliances
Experienced in trouble shooting to modular level
Ability to read schematics, research part and product information
Basic PC skills with the ability to navigate service software and vendor websites
No minimum experience required
Strong time management skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Strong PC skills
Hearing/Speaking: Effective communication with associates, supervisors/managers, and customers as required
Bending/Stooping: Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)
Lifting: Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)
Ability to lift-up to 40 lbs. independently and greater than 40 lbs. with assistance
Pushing/Pulling: Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)
Sitting: Occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of time)
Standing: Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)
Walking: Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)

Nice To Haves

2 years of technical experience preferred
Type I EPA Certification preferred for appliance technicians

Responsibilities

Ensures accurate documentation of service orders
Maintains a safe and clean work environment
Performs repairs in accordance with manufacturer specs and in a timely efficient manner
Communicates with retail store associates on product usage and training
