About The Position

ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for an Appliance Repair Technician to join our Operations Services team in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This position is onsite. The Appliance Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing commercial kitchen appliances. This position ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with company safety standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of appliance repair, maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related technical experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose appliance malfunctions accurately
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and electronic systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and service documentation
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• EPA Refrigerant Certification
• Appliance manufacturer certifications
• Trade school, technical school, or vocational training
• Experience with smart appliances and electronic diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in appliances
• Repair and maintain refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, microwaves, and other commercial kitchen appliances
• Install new appliances and verify proper operation
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
• Document service calls, repairs completed, parts used, and recommendations
• Communicate repair findings and costs to customers in a professional manner
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and supplies
• Ensure company vehicle and equipment are maintained in safe operating condition
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Provide outstanding customer service and represent the company professionally
• Work with subcontractors to ensure timely closeout of work orders
