About The Position

Ferguson is hiring an Appliance Delivery and Installation Associate to deliver, install, and remove appliances in commercial and residential settings. The role involves installing basic gas and electric household appliances and developing skills in custom installations through company-provided training. Associates ensure appliances are undamaged, installed to manufacturer specifications, and fully functional while providing courteous service to builders, designers, and customers. The position also includes driver duties and responsibilities. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or until route completion. Ferguson provides paid installation training and certifications, and describes the role as offering opportunities for career growth and advancement.

Requirements

Valid state-issued driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card to meet driver requirements.
Ability, with assistance from lifting equipment such as a stair climber, oven lifts, and/or air sled, to lift objects weighing 70+ pounds frequently and 90+ pounds occasionally.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to read and understand product specifications and project plans is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate and prioritize work.
Organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter, critical thinker, and self-sufficient.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Mechanical skills and willingness to learn.
Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with construction, kitchen, plumbing, or home appliance products or installations is preferred.
Ability to read and understand product specifications and project plans is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform basic appliance installations and learn custom appliance installations through training.
Accurately handle and install basic gas and electric household appliances, including washers, dryers, ranges, and refrigerators.
Ensure installed appliances are damage-free, installed according to manufacturer specifications, and fully functioning.
Interact courteously and professionally with builders, designers, and on-site customers.
Attend company-paid installation training seminars and certifications to stay current on product changes.
Perform driver duties and responsibilities.
Document detailed job notes clearly and concisely.
