About The Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead/Senior Appian Developer to drive the design, development, and implementation of complex case management and workflow automation solutions in a federal environment. The role leads development initiatives, implements AI-driven capabilities, and ensures compliance with strict security standards. The position is remote and requires a Public Trust security clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of hands-on Appian development experience designing, configuring, and implementing enterprise-grade applications using Appian 17.x or later.
• At least 3 years in a technical lead or senior developer capacity, leading small-to-medium development teams.
• Proven experience delivering mission-critical applications in federal or highly regulated environments.
• Experience or strong interest in integrating AI into business processes, such as document classification, extraction, summarization, intelligent decisioning, or chatbots; understanding of how low-code AI features augment automation and process orchestration; and hands-on experience with AI technologies, AI/ML/LLM integration, or generative AI solutions.
• Familiarity with Appian AI.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Agile software development.
• U.S. citizenship, due to federal contract requirements.
• Ability to pass a government-sponsored background investigation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance; an active clearance is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of FISMA, NIST, Section 508, and records management compliance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Appian Certified Lead Developer (ACD-301) certification is strongly preferred.
• Active Appian Senior Developer certification with a clear, immediate path to Lead will be considered.
• Active Public Trust security clearance.
