About The Position

ICF is seeking a motivated 2026 Summer Intern, Appian Developer to join our growing Appian delivery team. This is an entry-level, 10-week, full-time internship expected to begin in June and end in August. Work will be remote from anywhere in the United States. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour. At this time, we are unable to provide housing nor relocation assistance for this position.

Requirements

By start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident, reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S. per contract requirements.

Nice To Haves

Interest in software development and technology, with some exposure through coursework or personal projects
Eagerness to learn low-code development on the Appian platform
Basic familiarity with programming concepts (e.g., Java, Python, or JavaScript)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and methodologies, including Agile practices

Responsibilities

Learn how to configure Appian applications, including building forms and simple workflows.
Assist in developing, testing, and deploying Appian applications and modules under the guidance of senior team members.
Assist in integrating Appian applications with external databases and connected systems.
Support application testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Document technical designs, user stories, and deployment steps.
Contribute to knowledge sharing and promote best practices within the Appian practice.
