About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Appeals Coordinator with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join one of our largest clients, a prestigious law firm based in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced legal environment and thrives on meeting deadlines while collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and clients. You will be part of a growing team responsible for coordinating appeal documentation, managing deadlines, improving processes, and working with billing transmission websites.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a law firm or professional services setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
  • Familiarity with legal billing systems and e-billing websites.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Adaptability to changing processes and client needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Aderant Expert and BillBlast.
  • Background in legal billing or appeals processing.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize high-volume assignments with strict deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, paralegals, administrators, and clients.
  • Track submission statuses and set follow-ups to ensure timely delivery of appeals through client billing portals.
  • Maintain accurate records and case files.
  • Follow up with agencies, attorneys, or clients regarding case status.
  • Support consistency of service across internal team members and clients.
  • Continuously learn new aspects of the role and remain compliant with updated client guidelines.
  • Utilizing law firm e-billing websites; experience with Aderant Expert and BillBlast is a plus.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of appeal activity.
