About The Position

Minneapolis College is seeking a temporary, part-time instructor for the Fashion Design Technology Program for the Fall 2026 semester. The college is specifically looking for an instructor to teach FADE 1025: Fashion Imaging and FADE 2115: Product Development and Manufacturing. Compensation for teaching under 5 credits is $1,650 per semester credit. Those teaching more than five credits are considered temporary part-time employees and will be placed on the faculty salary schedule, with placement determined by education and experience according to the 2025-2027 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.

Requirements

  • Must possess or meet minimum qualifications for the Minnesota State colleges and universities credential field of Apparel Design and Production, # 500191.
  • Associate degree in apparel design, fashion design, clothing design, or textiles and clothing.
  • Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid occupational experience in apparel design, pattern making, and production.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
  • The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  • Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered.
  • Must meet all minimum qualifications.
  • Must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States at the time of employment.
  • Minneapolis College does not sponsor visas.
