About The Position
El Cajon Harley-Davidson, a subsidiary of Del Amo Motorsports, is seeking a motivated Apparel Salesperson to join their team. This is a full-time, hourly position plus commission, with an average annual pay range of $36,000 to $50,000, which can fluctuate based on individual sales experience. The role involves assisting customers, maintaining merchandise displays, identifying sales opportunities, and collaborating with the Motorcycle Sales team to ensure an exceptional dealership experience.
Requirements
- Previous Harley-Davidson, powersports, motorcycle, or automotive retail experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred; not required.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist every Harley-Davidson guest with hospitality, recommending MotoClothes, riding gear, and accessories to enhance their riding experience.
- Review all pending special orders daily and proactively follow up with guests regarding the arrival or estimated delivery date of their MotoClothes or merchandise.
- Maintain the MotoClothes sales floor and assigned department by ensuring merchandise is clean, ticketed, organized, and displayed according to Harley-Davidson visual merchandising standards.
- Identify slow-moving or overstocked inventory for promotional displays and sale opportunities.
- Ensure a seamless handoff from Motorcycle Sales team members by greeting referred guests, logging customer interactions and conducting timely follow-up to deliver an exceptional dealership experience.
- Attain minimum A.I. sales goal monthly by fully utilizing all available resources.
- Review daily checklist.
- Complete all online O.E.M. and Product training pertinent to position.
- Serve as back-up cashier.
- Monitor all inventory and report suspicious activity such as theft to manager immediately.
- Research/stay up to date with all current model year protective gear.
- Continually review basic selling skills and advance closing techniques.
- Prepare station with all necessary Parts/Apparel catalogues for efficiency.
