About The Position

Scheels is seeking an Apparel Sales Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving personal sales, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing a personalized customer experience and contributing to a team-first environment. Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
1-3 months of sales experience
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5p.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Friday (daytime hours may be available), 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 10a.m. and 6p.m. Sunday.
Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available a minimum of three weekends a month.

Responsibilities

Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience
Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team
