About The Position

APPAREL MANUFACTURING QUALITY INSPECTOR Joining our team might just be the best bond you ever make. At CreateMe, we're done with thread. We are currently hiring a full-time Apparel Quality Quality Inspector Production Associate for our facility in Newark, CA. You'll be intimately involved with our revolutionary production process and be the last line of defense that makes sure every bonded T-shirt we ship meets spec. If you have a sharp eye and believe close enough isn't good enough, you'll fit right in.

Requirements

  • Experience in apparel or textile quality inspection.
  • Ability to take ownership and proactively address issues.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on precision, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to suggest improvements.
  • Belief that great ideas come from everyone.
  • Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with people, learning new skills, and tackling challenges.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
  • Full authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with bonded garments, adhesives, or heat-press processes.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect what we are making at critical steps in production: cut parts, adhesive application, bonding and pressing, neckbands, seams, hems, labels, and prints.
  • Monitor bonding parameters (temperature, pressure, dwell time, alignment) across our tools and equipment, and flag issues before they turn into defects.
  • Perform final inspection before packing, checking construction, appearance, symmetry, and measurements against spec.
  • Identify and classify defects like bond failures, label lifting, adhesive residue, wrinkles, misalignment, and out-of-tolerance measurements, and make the Pass, Fail, or Rework call.
  • Hold and segregate product that doesn't meet spec, support containment, and verify reworked product before it's released.
  • Document inspection, defect, rework, and nonconformance results accurately so our quality data is something the whole team can trust.
  • Support first piece inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with Production and Engineering.
