About The Position

Advanced Practice Provider- Fellow is a paid, year-long fellowship that will provide the opportunity for an individual to continue their education in a practical setting. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: The fellow will experience a wide variety of clinical settings including outpatient, inpatient and peri-operative practice. Experiences will take place within the BJC Healthcare system. Participate in weekly continuing education sessions and have the opportunity to share in a research project. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Master's degree
• Certifications /Professional Licenses : The list below may include all acceptable certifications, professional licenses and issuers. More than one credential, certification or professional license may be required depending on the role.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Certified Nurse Practitioner - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) within 3 months - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
• Physician Assistant - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Physician Assistant - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
• Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
• Work Experience: No specific work experience is required for this position.
• Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis in the Nurse Practitioner program.
• APN licensure or ability to successfully obtain licensure within three months of date of hire.
• Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirement).
• Graduate of PA program.
• Current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location (or ability to obtain within three months of date of hire).
• Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty.
• Basic Life Support certification (Online Basic Life Support certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the Basic Life Support requirement).
