The APP Manager, NP or PA Inpatient Hem/Onc role involves providing coordination and assurance of comprehensive healthcare using advanced practice nursing processes. This includes diagnosing illnesses and physical conditions, and performing diagnostic, therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures as appropriate within a collaborative practice agreement with a physician. The role also involves supervising and directing a designated group of Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants to optimize service line activities, promote a positive work environment, and serve as a liaison to various hospital departments. The APP Manager represents the advanced practice nurses & physician assistants department to accrediting bodies, ensuring institutional compliance.
