The role involves cross-functional responsibilities across the operating room, ICU, step-down unit, and outpatient areas, encompassing pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care. Proficiency in various procedures such as central line placement, chest tube insertion, and assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures is expected. Fellows will also educate patients and families and may be required to provide clinical coverage at any of Emory's five hospital sites performing adult cardiothoracic surgery.
