About The Position

At Deftpower, we are looking for an App Developer with ample experience in Swift and Kotlin to join our App team. This is a full-time position based in Arnhem. You will specialize in the native parts of our React Native app, bringing in-house knowledge for features like Live Activities, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. You will work closely with the Product Owner and App Team Lead, and collaborate with React Native developers. Our tech stack includes React Native with native modules in Swift & Kotlin, a C#/.NET backend, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and an Angular web portal.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in mobile development.
Hands-on experience in both native iOS and native Android development.
Proficiency in both Swift and Kotlin.
Experience working in or alongside a React Native codebase.
Experience bridging native modules.
Experience with native features such as Live Activities, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
Ability to act as a specialist in a team of generalists.
Valid work visa for working in the Netherlands.
Willingness to come to the office in Arnhem a few times a week.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain native features like Live Activities, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in Swift and Kotlin.
Bridge native modules into our React Native app.
Take over native development that currently runs through an external partner.
Keep certificates, store requirements and native release steps for iOS and Android running smoothly.
Coach and pair with React Native colleagues on native-related issues.
Work closely with the Product Owner and Design team to implement native roadmap items.
