APP - Convenient Care - Float
About The Position
FirstHealth of the Carolinas, a private, not-for-profit healthcare system serving the mid-Carolinas, is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Convenient Care Float Team. This role supports our seven Convenient Care locations, all operating with a consistent model of high-quality, patient-centered care. The locations are open 8am – 8pm (closed on 4 recognized holidays) and are all within 1 hour of Pinehurst, NC. This position utilizes Epic EMR, has imaging and diagnostic testing on-site, and a well-coordinated process with system EDs for transfer of acute care needs. There is a strong partnership between physicians and advanced practice providers, and you will be a member of the FirstHealth Physician Group, a team of 400+ hospital-employed providers.
Requirements
- PA: completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certification.
- NP: completion of a nurse practitioner education program and national certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience treating all ages in an Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine setting is required.
- Must be able to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion in decision-making.
- Clean background.
- Unrestricted NC PA/NP license.
- NC DEA.
- AHA BLS certification.
- DOT certification required.
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years of experience is highly desired.
