This role focuses on API testing, specifically for applications hosted on GCP, with a strong emphasis on microservices architectures and experience within the banking/finance sector.

Requirements

• 3-8+ years of experience in API testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter.
• Experience testing microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, OAuth, JWT.
• Experience working with GCP-hosted applications.
• SQL & basic data validation skills.
• Banking/Finance experience is a must.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Knowledge of containers (Docker) and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Familiarity with Apigee or API Gateway.
• Scripting knowledge (Java, Python, Groovy, or JavaScript).
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

Responsibilities

• Perform API testing with a focus on microservices architectures.
• Utilize Apache JMeter for performance and functional testing.
• Validate data using SQL and basic data validation techniques.
• Test applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Ensure security protocols like OAuth and JWT are correctly implemented and tested.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure application quality.
