Requirements

• Design and build Apigee proxies, shared flows, and policies (including JavaScript/Java callouts), and troubleshoot runtime issues such as latency, quota enforcement, caching behavior, and routing.
• Experience with deployment automation, revision strategy, promotion/rollback, deployment state interrogation, and auditability using API Management APIs.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Grunt, Python/PowerShell scripting, and Git-based release workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD practices including gated promotions, approvals, artifact versioning, automated rollback, and compliance enforcement.
• Knowledge of API Design principles including OpenAPI/Swagger, contract validation, and schema/version governance.
• Understanding of security concepts such as OAuth2/JWT and mTLS/cert lifecycle, and HTTPS fundamentals.
• Experience with observability tools for logs/metrics/analytics, alerting integrations, and a performance tuning mindset.
• Foundational knowledge of Linux CLI and networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, LB, firewalls).

• Drift analyzer/compliance reporting experience
• Experience with Elastic/Splunk/Prometheus/Grafana; PagerDuty/ServiceNow integrations

Responsibilities

• Design and standardize API proxies’ development at scale, policies, shared flows, and reusable bundles.
• Automate API proxy Lifecycle using import/deploy/undeploy/redeploy, revision governance, promotion across environments, and rollback patterns via management APIs.
• Orchestrate controlled, concurrent deployments with safe sequencing and environment-specific configuration injection.
• Manage multi-version APIs, detect drift, validate compliance (policy baselines + OpenAPI alignment), and perform lifecycle analytics.
• Implement one-click rollback, revision freeze/locks, and guardrails to prevent unintended changes.
• Develop automated request/approval/deploy workflows and deployment failure analysis.
• Implement automated CI/CD tollgates that validate API policy compliance, security controls, OpenAPI/spec integrity, dependency health, and configuration drift, producing auditable pass/fail evidence and a quantified “release readiness” score.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for usage, quota burn, capacity, spikes; and implement real-time anomaly alerts.
• Simplify and standardize onto Copilot-assisted Python pipelines; implement guardrail-driven deployments using Artifactory.
