About The Position
About the role This is a hands-on position with active development expectation. We need a self-starter who can work on his own and drive things end to end. For the data API platform team which is responsible for managing a fleet of 400 APIs. Building, maintaining the APIs This role is for a framework team, who is responsible for building common tooling that applies to all the APIs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in design, development and triaging for large, complex systems.
- Experience in Java and object-oriented design skills
- 6+ years of microservices development
- 5+ years working in Spring Boot
- 5+ years leading and mentoring a technology team and ensuring the teams success while being a strong individual contributor.
- 3+ years of experience working with streaming technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ
- Experienced using API dev tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Postman, Git, Cucumber
- Hands on experience in building microservices based application using Spring Boot and REST, JSON
- DevOps understanding – containers, cloud, automation, security, configuration management, CI/CD
- Experience with Web API, gRPC and GraphQL architecture
- Experience in streaming technologies like Apache Kafka
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and microservices
- Strong experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation
- Proficiency in Hibernate or equivalent ORM frameworks
- Solid understanding of Kafka and event-driven architecture
- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
- Deep understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with cloud (AWS/AZURE)
- Front-end development experience with React.js, Node.js, and JavaScript
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- Architect and implement scalable solutions on Cloud using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop and maintain robust APIs and backend services using Spring Framework, Hibernate, and Kafka
- Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React.js, Node.js, and JavaScript
- Monitor/Analyze and resolve vulnerabilities.
- Mentor and guide a team of developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality software
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
- Ensure application performance, scalability, and security across all layers of the stack
