About The Position
Quantum Building Maintenance is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Apartment Porter to join our team at The Monarch Apartments. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, curb appeal, and appearance of the apartment community. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors while providing excellent service and support to the property management team.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently while managing daily responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor, including walking, bending, lifting, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous porter, groundskeeper, janitorial, custodial, or apartment community experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all exterior and interior common areas throughout the community.
- Pick up litter, remove debris, and empty trash receptacles throughout the property.
- Keep breezeways, sidewalks, parking lots, stairwells, elevators, mailrooms, and amenity areas clean and free of hazards.
- Clean and maintain the leasing office, clubhouse, fitness center, restrooms, and other shared community spaces.
- Assist with trash compactor and dumpster areas to ensure they remain clean and organized.
- Pressure wash sidewalks, breezeways, and other designated areas as needed.
- Assist with preparing vacant apartments for new residents by removing trash, performing light cleaning, and completing touch-up tasks.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, vandalism, and property damage promptly.
- Assist with community events, special projects, and seasonal property maintenance.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain company cleanliness standards at all times.
