About The Position

This is a part-time, onsite Apartment Manager position for a 25-unit apartment complex in Monterey Park, CA. The role requires a bilingual (English/Mandarin Chinese) and organized professional to maintain a clean and well-run community. The manager will live on-site in a 2-bedroom, 2-bath unit and receive reduced rent as part of the compensation. The work involves light and predictable hours, primarily focused on property walks, coordinating maintenance, communicating with residents, showing vacant units, processing applications, and enforcing community rules. The position requires working closely with the property management team and maintaining notes in AppFolio.

Requirements

• Bilingual communication skills (Mandarin Chinese is a plus, not required)
• 2+ years of recent onsite apartment management experience (within the last 2 years)
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Strong communication & organization skills
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (AppFolio is a plus)
• Reliable, professional, and self-managed
• No pets

• Mandarin Chinese language skills
• AppFolio experience

Responsibilities

• Daily property walks (cleanliness, safety, overall appearance)
• Coordinate and report maintenance needs promptly
• Communicate with residents (primarily in Spanish)
• Show and lease vacant units
• Process applications and rental agreements
• Keep common areas clean and presentable
• Enforce community rules and policies
• Work closely with property management team
• Maintain notes and updates in AppFolio (preferred)
