About The Position

Adara Communities is hiring an Apartment Make Ready Technician for Pirates Landing, a 230-unit property. The technician prepares and restores vacant apartments for new resident move-ins, completing minor repairs and maintenance, painting, light drywall work, and community upkeep. The role works closely with the maintenance team to complete unit turns on time while maintaining safety, quality, and cleanliness standards. Candidates must live within 20 miles of the property or be willing to relocate. Work takes place indoors and in community common areas and involves regular physical activity. The company provides a uniform on the first day of employment.

Requirements

Prior apartment make-ready experience is required.
Basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and construction repair abilities.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Personal set of basic hand tools.
Ability to lift 40–50 lbs; the working-environment description also specifies lifting up to 50 lbs individually and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Dependability, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Must live within a 20-mile radius of the property or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Prepare and restore vacant apartments for new resident move-ins.
Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and general maintenance repairs.
Repair or service sinks, showers, appliances, cabinets, doors, fixtures, and damaged hardware.
Change bulbs and replace light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
Inspect locks, keys, and weather stripping; re-key or repair as needed.
Complete interior and exterior painting and caulking.
Perform light drywall repairs, including patching, texturing, sanding, and finishing.
Assist with grounds upkeep, including trash pickup, blowing breezeways, pressure washing, and maintaining clean common areas.
Work with the maintenance team to ensure timely unit turn completion.
Maintain safety, quality, and cleanliness standards throughout the community.
