About The Position

AMLI Residential is hiring an Apartment Make Ready Technician at AMLI Fountain Place, a luxury high-rise apartment community in downtown Dallas. The technician prepares vacant apartments for incoming residents by completing make-ready checklists, repairs, and final inspections to ensure homes meet AMLI's move-in standards. The work includes painting and drywall, general apartment repairs, basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting, appliance repairs, and property upkeep. The position also participates in an evening and weekend emergency maintenance rotation.

Requirements

• Experience with apartment turns, painting, drywall, basic plumbing, electrical work, or general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete a variety of apartment repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Ability to prioritize multiple apartment turns and meet move-in deadlines.
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
• Availability for evening and weekend on-call rotations.
• Reliable transportation for on-call responsibilities.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in apartment maintenance, residential remodeling, hotel maintenance, or general building repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vacant apartments, complete make-ready checklists, and perform repairs before residents arrive.
• Patch holes, repair walls, touch up paint, and address cosmetic issues.
• Repair or replace faucets, plumbing fixtures, lights, ceiling fans, blinds, shelving, mirrors, baseboards, and other apartment components.
• Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Repair locks, hinges, latches, and screens; prepare keys and change locks as needed.
• Complete final apartment inspections and ensure homes meet AMLI's move-in standards.
• Assist with general property upkeep, preventive maintenance, and other service needs throughout the high-rise.
• Participate in an evening and weekend emergency maintenance rotation.
