About The Position

Silver Tree Residential is seeking dependable, quality-focused maintenance professionals, including Maintenance Directors and Maintenance Technicians, for their senior apartments in the St. Louis, MO portfolio. The ideal candidate will be reliable and committed to upholding the community's high standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators.
• Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Must report to work at regularly scheduled work hours.
• Must have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advising the Community Director of maintenance problems and of programs designed to solve them.
• Working with upper management & directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling, and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors, and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Assisting in the make-ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Establishing daily work schedules for staff (if any) and monitoring their production, efficiency, and materials used.
• Knowing the current condition of all vacancies.
• Participating in the hiring of maintenance personnel.
• Holding classes for the maintenance staff (if any), as needed, to improve their efficiency.
• Keeping accurate and up-to-date inventory of tools and supplies.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly, secure workshop.
