About The Position

Burlington Capital Properties is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Arthur, a brand-new property in the heart of Omaha. The Arthur offers residents convenient access to the city’s best dining, shopping, and entertainment, all within a unique historical setting. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining apartments, common areas, buildings, grounds, and amenities while providing excellent service to residents. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of maintenance experience or experience in a related field required.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, and general building trades.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
  • Ability to follow directives and work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of the English language and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.

Nice To Haves

  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification and/or swimming pool maintenance experience preferred.
  • HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior and exterior repairs to maintain apartments, common areas, buildings, grounds, and amenities according to established procedures.
  • Complete vacant units to make-ready status according to established procedures.
  • Respond to and complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Regularly communicate with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding the status of service requests, make-ready units, and other maintenance needs.
  • Inspect all work performed by outside contractors.
  • Perform and/or oversee exterior maintenance to ensure a high level of curb appeal.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and County health and safety codes, laws, and standards.
  • Regularly inspect common areas and amenities to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Participate in resident functions and community events as requested by Management.
  • Participate in the property’s on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.
