About The Position

A fast-growing local landlord is hiring a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician in Canton, Ohio. The role offers steady first-shift hours and a starting pay rate of $25 per hour. Advanced maintenance experience is not required; the employer will provide hands-on training and experienced mentorship in plumbing, electrical work, appliances, painting, and apartment turnovers. Tools, supplies, and support are provided, with opportunities to develop trade skills, pursue supported certifications, and advance into a long-term career.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must pass a background check.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must be reliable, dependable, and hardworking, with a strong work ethic.
Must have basic mechanical aptitude or a fixer mindset.
Must be comfortable using basic hand tools.
Must maintain a professional attitude when interacting with tenants.
Must be eager to learn and grow into a long-term career.

Responsibilities

Complete basic repairs and maintenance in rental units.
Prepare vacant apartments for new tenants, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
Assist with plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance tasks.
Help with seasonal maintenance and occasional emergency call-outs.
Participate in hands-on training and learn from experienced mentors.
