Apartment Maintenance Technician - Norfolk
About The Position
Legend Property Group, a subsidiary of The Monument Companies, is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician to service a growing inventory of beautiful, apartment units. Our Maintenance Technicians earn a competitive wage of $19-$24/hour based on experience. This role is ideal for a handyman who is committed to learning and improving their skills and is looking for a career. The Maintenance Technician ensures that residents have safe and comfortable apartments that are in good repair by executing a wide range of handyman tasks involved with general home maintenance. This includes maintaining and repairing appliances, plumbing, minor HVAC issues, and electrical work, as well as painting, caring for the grounds, and pool maintenance. The technician will quickly respond to maintenance requests, keep tenants updated on scheduling and work status, provide exceptional customer service, and check exterior and interior areas for safety, cleanliness, and needed repairs. Preparing apartment units for re-leasing, which involves cleaning and painting, is also a key responsibility. Each day brings a combination of daily checklists, occasional tasks, and unexpected surprises.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Related work experience or relevant education/training
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Physical ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and work from varying heights
- Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities
