About The Position

AIR Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work onsite at their apartment community in Fort Worth, TX. This role utilizes industry-leading technology for a modern approach to maintenance, allowing technicians to efficiently assist residents with various tasks. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for new residents (turns) and resolving service requests for current residents, ensuring a positive living experience. The position offers daily challenges and opportunities to utilize technical skills.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment.
  • Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
  • A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
  • Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.
  • Complete basic apartment turns to prepare apartments for new residents.
  • Complete resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing/replacing plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances.
  • May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians.
  • May assist with managing vendor quality.
  • May perform move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.
