About The Position

The Apartment Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. As part of the MAA team, you will be expected to exceed residents' expectations and maintain high standards of work. You will be responsible for preparing apartments for move-in, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems including HVAC units, electrical appliances, plumbing, and carpentry. The position involves following a planned preventative maintenance schedule and maintaining clear communication with residents throughout the repair process.

Requirements

One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
HVAC experience required
EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence

Nice To Haves

Pool Certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Performing general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order
Preparing apartments for move-in
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units
Repairing electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures
Performing plumbing, carpentry, and lock repairs
Following a planned preventative maintenance schedule
Following up with residents after repairs are complete
