About The Position

Community Housing Partners (CHP) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician I to join their team. This role involves diagnosing and completing repairs across building systems, responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining the appearance and functionality of properties. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Trade training or certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and complete routine and moderately complex repairs across building systems
  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of buildings, grounds, and common areas
  • Complete apartment turnovers within established timelines
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues
  • Assist with vendor and contractor coordination as needed
  • Maintain accurate work order documentation using mobile maintenance software
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company policies
