About The Position

Vie Management is hiring an HVAC-certified maintenance technician to join our student housing community. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, completing resident service requests, and maintaining a safe and attractive community. The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC experience, enjoy hands-on work, and be committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • EPA HVAC Certification required (Universal Certification preferred)
  • 2+ years of apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general maintenance repairs
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work orders in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications to manage work orders, inspections, and daily maintenance tasks.
  • Weekend, holiday, and on-call availability required

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete resident service requests in a timely manner
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including troubleshooting heating and cooling equipment
  • Complete plumbing, electrical, appliance, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
  • Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, ensuring they meet company quality standards
  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and community amenities
  • Assist with emergency maintenance calls and participate in an on-call rotation, including weekends and after-hours emergencies
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and preventative maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety regulations
  • Maintain an organized maintenance shop, inventory, and equipment
  • Work closely with the management team to provide an exceptional resident experience through prompt, professional service
