About The Position
AIR Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Bay Apartments in San Diego, CA. This role involves delivering high-quality service to residents, completing apartment turns efficiently, and diagnosing/repairing issues across various systems. Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in apartments, commercial facilities, hotels, or skilled trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Working knowledge in at least two core trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, or carpentry)
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including on-call rotations (approximately one week per month)
- Reliable transportation for emergency response
- Physically able to lift and move equipment
- Ability to read, write, and speak English

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality service to residents with a focus on first-time fix and customer satisfaction
- Complete apartment turns efficiently to meet move-in deadlines
- Diagnose and repair issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry
- Support preventative maintenance efforts to reduce recurring service requests
- Mentor junior technicians or assist with training as needed
- Assist with vendor oversight and unit inspections when required
