About The Position

AIR Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician to work onsite at their apartment community, One Boynton, in Boynton Beach, FL. This role utilizes industry-leading technology for a modern approach to maintenance, allowing technicians to assist residents efficiently. Responsibilities include apartment turns for new residents and resolving service requests for current residents, with each day presenting new challenges.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multifamily housing, facilities maintenance, hospitality, commercial properties, or a related building maintenance environment.
  • Proficiency in at least two skilled trades, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, or general maintenance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Reliable transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and materials as needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to residents and support fellow team members.
  • Complete apartment turns to AIR standards, creating an outstanding move-in experience for new residents.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC equipment, appliances, and other building components.
  • Respond to resident service requests and perform routine maintenance with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to fellow Maintenance Technicians as needed.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, move-in/move-out inspections, and property upkeep.
  • Responsibilities may vary based on your skills, community needs, mechanical systems, and seasonal priorities.
